A: Go to Settings and click “Social Media Links”. You will see “Linktree Handle”. Enter your Linktree username. Your Linktree username is at the end of your Linktree URL. All you need to do is remove '' from your URL.

Q: How do I print my QR Code?
A: If you go to Settings > Profile > QR Code and click on the “Print” button you will see multiple size, color, and format options for your QR code that you can print or download.

Q: Is there any way to remove the little text box at the bottom of the song requests page that says, "I'll try my best to play your song if it fits the vibe"
A: That is your Song Disclaimer. To change it go to Settings and click on “Song Requests”. Scroll down and you will a text box labeled “Song Request Disclaimer”. Put in the new text you want and then scroll down and press the blue “Update” button to save. If you don’t know what you want to say, try something simple like “I can’t play every song request, but I play what people like. If you want to hear your song get your friends to like it.”

2. Questions about receiving and managing Song Requests

Q: Can I require a minimum tip for a song request?
A: Yes, go to Settings > Get Tips and you can set a minimum charge for a song request. This feature works best when you set up Verified Tipping.

Q: How do I hide played songs?
A: To hide requested songs after they have been played, go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Hide Played Songs”. If you select this, songs that you mark as played will not be shown to the audience.

Q: How do I see the BPM for requested songs?
A: Go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Show BPM”. If you select this, you will see the Beats Per Minute for requested songs.

Q: Do I need to set up alerts to see song requests?
A: No, you will always be able to see requests and other alerts on your DJ page or our Apps. If you would also like to receive notice or requests via email, text, or both, go to Settings and click “Alert Settings”. You can change these settings anytime you like.

Q: How do I set up alerts for song requests and shoutouts?
A: The best way to get alerts is to download our Windows, Mac, iOS or Android Apps. If you want to get alerts via email or text, go to Settings and click “Alerts”. If you would like to receive alerts via text and are in the United States, select “Text”. (Text alerts outside of the United States are not supported at this time). If you would like to receive alerts via email, select “email”. If you would like to receive alerts via text and email, select “Both”.

Q: Can I decide how often I receive alerts?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Alerts”. You will see a pull-down for “How Frequently would you like to have requests and other alerts sent to you?” You can select to get alerts for song requests and other alerts as they are received, or you can get them at regular intervals in groups. Q: Can I turn off Song Requests?
A: Yes, you can turn Song Requests on and off at any time. Go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click off the blue toggle button next to “Accept Song Requests”. If you turn song requests off the audience will not see that option, if you turn it on they will.

Q: How do I let the audience see requested songs?
A: Go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Show Song Requests”. If you turn this feature on the audience will be able to see and like everyone's requested songs.

Q: Can I require that people submit their names when they make a song request?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Require name when making a song request”. If you select this, anyone making a song request will be asked to enter their name.

Q: Can I let the audience see comments made on requested songs?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Show comments when making a song request”. If you select this, comments made with song requests will be viewed by the audience.

Q: Can I ask the audience to give me their email when they request a song?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Require email when making a song request”. If you select this, anyone making a song request will be asked for their email. You will be able to download and use these emails.

Q: Can I ask the audience to give me their phone number when they request a song?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Song Requests”, then click “Require phone number when making a song request”. If you select this, anyone making a song request will be asked for their phone number. You will be able to download and use these phone numbers.

Q: Is there a way to decline requests?
A: If you don't want to play a song, or can't play it, you can add a comment to the song request explaining why. You can also update your Song Disclaimer to make it clear that you can't play all song requests. If you require a phone number to make a song request, when you respond with a comment, the requestor will also get a text message.

Q: Can I download Song Requests to a .csv file?
A: Yes! Go to your Settings menu and click on “Export Songs.” You can then download a CSV file of all your song requests.

Q: What are the colored bars next to songs in the Song Details?
A: The colored bars next to the songs indicate the energy level of the song. The longer the bar, the higher the energy.

Q: I don’t like the songs that are suggested when people enter a song request. What can I do about this?
A: I am sorry to hear that. If you are not happy with the suggestions our system makes when you are making a song request you can turn off that feature. Just go to Settings > Song Requests and turn off "Show Song Suggestions" and the system will stop suggesting songs when folks enter a song request.

3. Questions about receiving and managing Shoutouts

Q: Where do I set up Shoutouts?
A: Go to Settings and click on Shoutouts. This is where you decide if you want to let your audience submit shoutout requests, and what your suggested tip for a shoutout is. If you have a Pro account and turn on Verified Tipping you can make tipping mandatory for shoutouts.

Q: Where can I set up my suggested charge for a Shoutout?
A: Go to Settings and click on Get Tips. This is where you set the suggested tip for a shoutout, it can be any amount you like. If you have a Pro account and turn on Verified Tipping you can make tipping mandatory for shoutouts.

Q: How do I turn on Shoutouts?
A: Shoutouts require a Pro Subscription. Go to Settings and click on Shoutouts. When you turn this on the Audience can submit shoutout requests, when it is off they will not see the Shoutout Option. If you check the Allow Public Shoutouts option, you can see the shoutouts on a screen. This is great if you have a big screen tv. All the shoutouts will rotate and if audience members put their pictures up, they will also show. If you turn on Verified Tipping you can make tipping mandatory for shoutouts.

Q: How do I get tips?
A: First you need to upgrade to a Pro Subscription, go to Settings and click on Get Tips. To receive tips you need to have at least one of the payment methods noted below linked to your account, the more payment methods you set up the easier it will be for people to tip you. If you turn on Verified Tipping the tips you are notified about will be verified. If you set up unverified tipping using Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, M-Pesa and other payment apps we cannot confirm that a tip has been made.

Q: What is $YourCashTag? How do I set $YourCash tag up for tips?
A: A $Cashtag is a unique identifier for individuals and businesses using Cash App. To find your $cashtag open Cash App and click on your profile page (person in the bubble on the upper right of the page).

Q: How do I set up Venmo for tips?
A: Go to Settings and click on Get Tips. You will see “Venmo Username without @”. Input your Venmo username here . To find your Venmo username, go to Venmo and click on "Me" and you will see your username below your name on the upper right of the page.

Q: How do I set up Zelle for Tips?
A: Go to Settings and click on Get Tips. You will see “Zelle Email Address” Input the email address you use for your Zelle account.

Q: How do I set up my Paypal account for Tips? How do I get tips using Paypal?
A: Go to Settings and click on Get Tips. You will see “Paypal Username without the @”. Enter your Paypal username. You can find this by logging into your account and clicking on PayPal Me in the upper right hand corner.

Q: How do I set up Verified Tipping?
A: As part of your NoSongRequests.com Pro subscription, we provide you with a free Stripe account (if you already have a Stripe account you can use your existing account). Stripe is a payment gateway service that allows you to accept payments from credit cards and pay apps such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Because we are integrated with Stripe, we can confirm that a tip has been made before we send you a notification of a tip, shoutout, or song request.

Q: How do I know if I got a tip?
A: Tip payments that are made using popular peer-to-peer payment apps cannot be verified because the payment is made directly between the audience member’s app and your App. If you turn on “Accept Verified Tips” you will be able to receive that have been verified. You can turn off the unverified tip method if you only want to receive verified tips.

Q: Can I make tips mandatory for Shoutouts and Song Requests?
A: If you have a Pro account and have turned on “Accept Verified Tips” you can set a minimum tip amount for Shoutouts and Song Requests. If you turn off “Allow Audience to tip you less than the minimum amount” your minimum tips will be required for any shoutout or song request made. If you are ok with accepting free requests you can set your minimum to $0.

Q: Do you allow tips in currencies other than $?
A: YES! The first step is to go to your profile page and choose your preferred currency. In Settings go to your profile page and scroll to the bottom. Click on Currency. You will see a pull-down menu where you can select your currency. Once you set your currency the audience will be able to tip you in your preferred currency. This works best if you set up verified tipping in your local country and currency.

Q: Can I remove the “Tip Me” button on my DJ page”
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Get Tips”, then click “Show Tip Me Button”. You can decide to show or hide the Tip Me button on your DJ page here.

Q: There were people who tipped via the website. It shows the tips committed and I marked the songs as played as I did them. What happens with those tips?
A: As part of your NoSongRequests.com Pro subscription, we provide you with a free Stripe account (if you already have a Stripe account you can use your existing account). Q: How long will it take for money to be returned to customer who's song never got played?
A: NoSongRequests.com does not monitor which song you play. If you did not play a requested song and want to refund a tip, you need to go to the pay account (Venmo, PayPal, etc.) you received and refund the tip.
You should also update your song request disclaimer to make it clear that you cannot guarantee that all song requests will be played, even if you receive a tip. Something like: “I can’t play all song requests, but if your song fits tonight’s vibe I might play it” would work. To update your song request disclaimer go to Settings and click on “Song Requests” – you will see an option to update your Song Disclaimer Message.

5. Questions about uploading and managing Playlists

Q: Can I create a Spotify playlist from requests?
A: Yes, you can export your song requests to every major music platform. Here's how: Create Spotify Playlist .

Q: I decided to upload a playlist and did not like how the feature was used with the uploaded playlist. People can only request songs from the playlist. Now I do not know how to remove the playlist.
A: You can turn your playlist off. Login to your account and go to Settings > Upload A Playlist and uncheck the Use Uploaded Playlist option and then save the form. Your playlist will no longer be displayed.

Q: When I update a CSV file, how long does it take to show up on the app?
A: You should see it shortly after you upload it. If you don’t, contact [email protected], they will be able to help you. Sometimes /csv files get corrupted and our tech team can help you sort things out.

6. Questions about exporting requested songs in Playlists and DJ Controller Software

Q: Can I integrate with Virtual DJ?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Virtual DJ Integration”. Enter your Virtual DJ link and song requests will be automatically exported to your Virtual DJ account via the Ask the DJ function.

Q: How do I create a Virtual DJ link?

Q: Can I turn Virtual DJ integration off?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Virtual DJ Integration”. You will see the option to turn Virtual DJ integration on and off, you can change this as much as you like.

Q: I see that requests can link straight to virtual dj, will you be doing that with Serato, Traktor, Rekordbox, or DJay Pro as well anytime soon?
A: We are working on it, but they do not have an open interface we can use, so it will take some time. In the interim, you can Export the songs you want to play to Tidal, Beatport, BeatSource or Soundcloud which are already directly integrated into your DJ Software by clicking on the three dots next to a song and click Add to Playlist or Export Songs. You can also click Copy Song/Artist Name by clicking on any requested song and pasting it in your DJ Software

7. Questions about Events and Custom Event Pages

Q: How do I add an Upcoming Event?
A: Go to Settings and click “Upcoming Events”. Then click “+”, and you will be prompted to add the name and date of your event.

Q: Can I hide old events so I don’t have to see them?

Q: Can I delete an event?
A: Yes, go to Settings and click “Upcoming Events”. Click on the event you would like to delete and click on the trashcan icon.

Q: How do I change my QR code for printing a banner for a special event?
A: To edit your QR code details for printing a banner, go to Settings > Profile > QR Code. Choose the high-resolution option and follow the instructions.

Q: How do I select a date next month for an event?
A: There are two ways to advance your calendar to the next month. You can either click on the arrow to move forward month by month or select the month and year from the drop-down menu.

Q: How do I get the App?
A: Our App is available in the iOS and Android App Stores. It’s free and works with all iOS and Android devices. Just search for NoSongRequests in the stores

Q: I am having an issue with the app. When I try to go into settings app never loads and times out. Any suggestions on what I can do?
A: Let’s start with the basics. Updating to the lastest version of the app is the first step. Next, rebooting your device clears out temporary glitches, refreshes the system, and gives the app a clean start. This often fixes issues without needing to do anything more complicated.

Q: If there is no WiFi at an event will the app work?
A: If you and the audience have cellular data, then yes it will work. If there is no Internet coverage or wi-fi, then no, the App won’t work.

Q: How do I pay for the App?
A: The App is free! If you would like to upgrade your subscription to Pro to gain access to Tips and a whole bunch of other fun features, go to your Settings and Choose "Manage Subscription" and the system will walk you through the upgrade options.

Q: Can I get notifications from the App when it is not open or my phone is locked?
A: Absolutely, the app can run in the background. This means you can continue using other apps or lock your phone, and you'll still receive notifications for song requests and other important updates. It's designed to keep you informed without needing to have the app open in the foreground all the time. This feature ensures you won't miss out on any requests, keeping the party going smoothly.

Q: I can’t get to settings on the App – Help!
A: When you are in the App, click on your Profile pic on the upper right, and then you will see a screen pop up. Your settings will be at the lower left (look for the red gear). Click on the red gear and you will get to your settings.

Q: How do I get your DJ drops?
A: NoSongRequests.com now offers free DJ drops! These drops are designed to encourage your audience to scan your QR code to tip you, make song requests, shoutouts, bookings, and follow you on social media. With a variety of Pop, Urban, and Nightclub styles, you can easily find the perfect match for your set. Download the drops, add them to your DJ controller, and modify them as needed to fit your unique style. You can find these drops in the new "Drops" section in Settings

Q: Do you have female voice drops?
A: Yes, go to Drops and download your favorites.

Q: How do I load DJ drops in Virtual DJ?

Q: How do I fix a tip mistake?
A: We do not control actual tips made, please contact the payment service you used to make the tip you have an issue with.

Q: Where can I apply for a job?

Q: What's the point of this QR code thing? Can't I just shout my song request to the Performer?
A: The QR code offers a convenient and streamlined way for you to submit your song requests digitally.
